TS3438 iPhoto deleted my videos!

I tried to download my videos they did not download, but they are no longer on my memory card. Did iPhoto delete my videos? I have a sony 5N camera an and SD card. I thought it put my videos in mp4 format but I'm not sure.

    iPhoto deleted nothing unless you told it to.

    Well if you deleted them and something went wrong then you may have lost them

     

    for the future it is strongly recommended that you never have any computer program including iPhoto delete your photos - after importing keep the photos and then after at least one successful backup cycle you can use your camera's format command to reformat and erase the memory card - personally I rotate between three large  cards so I do not delete the photos from my memory card for a year or more

     

    You may be able to recover them using a recovery program like media reover
