Q: got a home dvd stuck in my imac

i can not get this dvd out i try to click eject i try command and E at the same time but it will not come out please help thanks

    This is a little harder not knowing which of the four generations of iMac you own. What does "About this Mac" from your Apple menu say about your processor. There are differenct types of optical drives in each generation.

     

    Does the disk show on the desktop? If so, either drag its icon to the trash or right-click the disk's icon and select "Eject" fromt eh resulting contextual menu at the cursor.

     

    If there is no icon on the desktop, restart the computer and hold the mouse button down during the restart.
