Mac OS XYou don't say which model MacBook Pro that you have but the behavior you describe could be just a fault with the trackpad, a swollen battery, any number of things. Since it's likely a hardware issue the best that I can suggest is to take the machine to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them check the machine out.
