Oh forgot to mention that that other link is about Facetime, but I think it still might be applicable because I believe it's an OS settings issue.

I tried all the solutions posted here and none of them worked for me, so I performed a restore of my iPhone 4S using iTunes and the problem is solved, no more blank update screen.. Hope this helps....

hey guys, i found the solution for the blank screen probelm for the updates screen. as many of you, i had the same problem on my iphone 4, IOS 6.1.2. so i called the tech support. what they told me to do worked right away.
here is what i did:
1. press the home and power button at the same time (just like taking the screenshot) for about 10 seconds, untill the screen goes dark.
2. ideally, the screen goes dark, and it should come back on in about 10 seconds.
3. if it doesnt, just press the power button to turn it back on.
check the updates screen, and it should work. the techsupport told me it was a 'reboot' function, which just clears some things.....i am not really sure what it is.
so, this is the solution that worked for me, and now it is working properly.
hope this works for you.

Had Same problem with iPhone4s, after upgrading to latest iOS
I was able to fix it by turning off WiFi. On 3G, everything displayed normally.
Then re-enabled Wifi, and it still works.

Tried EVERY SINGLE FIX posted on this thread short of restoring my 4S as I'm away from my computer for a few days, and still get that blank update page.
Can we at least get an official statement from Apple?
This is VERY frustrating, especially since I paid big bucks for an unsubsidized phone that has tons of issues since the iOS 6.x updates.
Sadly Apple seems to be going the Microsoft way...

I have this problem with 4G iPad right now. Power/Home button did not fix it. The rest of the APP Store comes up... except the updates.

Having this issue right now on my 4S, with the latest update. All app store screens are fine except the update screen which shows I have updates but the screen is blank.
