I have installed Bluetooth Explorer 4.0.9 from developer.apple.com.  I need to know how to use Bluetooth Explorer to change from using the internal Bluetooth antenna to using a 300 foot Bluetooth dongle.

If someone could provide me with step by step instructions that would be great.

Note to Apple use long range BT antennas in your computers... for God sake!  15 ft is nothing.

As Bluetooth Explorer is a developer tool you should ask about it in the Developer forums.

Bluetooth is a short-range technology. It's not designed for long range uses, and just how far it does work depends on what physical objects are between the devices.

    I konw that, thanks.

The range for this dongle is 300 ft.  That's why we are switching to it.

Also, BT Explorer is a valid question for this forum, becuase ther are a lot of threads talking about it.

No, there aren't "lots of threads talking about it". Just a handful over the past few years:

    https://discussions.apple.com/search.jspa?q="Bluetooth+explorer"

There are lots of questions about "Bluetooth File Exchange" - a standard OS X application installed on every Mac. But that is not the same as "Bluetooth Explorer".

The fact you got it from the DEVELOPER site should be a pretty good clue that it is a DEVELOPER tool, and that questions about it would be better suited to the DEVELOPER forums where people who use it - i.e. DEVELOPERS - tend to be.

If this were the most appropriate forum don't you think you would have had an actual answer to your question in the past 5 days?

Stop giving me a hard time.

I cannot access the Developer forums.

Stop respoding if you are not going to answer the qeustion.

    STOP TROLLING

Your understanding of these forums is sadly lacking.

As Snozdop says don't you think that there is a possibility that seeing as how your tread has not received any posts yet you could be wrong. Besides that calling another user a troll is certainly not the way to gain friends or get helpful answers either.

I cannot access the Developer forums.

You could if you had tried. Go on, click here: https://discussions.apple.com/community/developer_forums

Stop respoding if you are not going to answer the qeustion.

I'll stop when you stop posting in the wrong forums, thanks.

    He is trolling.

Calling out a fact... If you don't know the answer then don't respond.  I don't need a know it all being insufferable.  I need an answer.

You are not the fourm master.  So stop acting like you work for Apple.

It doesn't appear you are getting it here. Have you considered trying some place else?

    I need an answer.

Look, I've advised you that this is not the most appropriate forum to get an answer about using a Developer Tool, and the fact you haven't got an answer to your question in 6 days kinda proves that.

I've now given you the (easily found) link to the Developer Forum you claimed you could not access, and yet you're still waiting here for an answer.

Seems like you're the one stubbornly trolling...

snozdop  you can access developer content and software WITHOUT the ability to use the developer forums.

Allan I will try a different forum where people are not rude or trolling and actually try to help and provide answers.

FINALLY... It took you seven days to accept that another forum might be a better place to actually get you the answer you're expecting, but at least you got there eventually.

If you'd posted in the Developer Forum 4 days ago when I first suggested it, instead of getting yourself in a tizzy, you'd probably have the answer you want by now...

Now, now, no need to rub salt into the wounds.
