Mar 6, 2013 7:33 AM in response to AbhiSumuby EZ Jim,(1) You have a choice of many Mac-compatible USB cam. Some examples of current compatible cams are described at http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com/.
(2) If you want a wireless cam, consider http://ecamm.com/mac/webcam/bt1/
(3) OS X already has everything it needs for Mac-compatible cams. I recommend that you not add any OS X software that comes with your chosen camera to your OS X Mac, at least until you have tested your new cam without adding anything.
As OS X user Kurt Weber, who is using the Logitech C615 explains in this recent topic, the Logitech software is required in order to provide its HD images. However. as user Dave Stowe reports in the same thread, the added third-party software can contribute unexpected effects on some systems. Such possible interaction is the reason I do not recommend adding third-party software unless the image is not acceptable without it.
This added software caution applies only to Mac OS X. For use with Windows® on a Mac, feel free to install any compatible Windows® software your external camera may need.

Sep 11, 2014 7:45 PM in response to AbhiSumuby RR2314,The reccomendation above is wrong! The C920 does not work well at all with Mac! The Logitech C310 model is one of the only Logitech webcams that works out of the box with Mac. The newer models say they are compatible but they are not!
