Try connecting to a computer in recovery mode described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 if that doesn't work it may be time to visit an Apple store genius bar to have it tested.

Another user had the same problem and someone responded that I should hold the power & Home buttons down at the same time for 10 seconds and it worked. But thanks, for your suggesstion.
