My Wife and I both have an Ipad and an iPhone, I use an iMac and my wife a MacBook Pro.

I have this problem with all my devices.

My wife has NOT got this problem.

We both use a ...@me.com email acount.

    Just compared the settings:

For "Incoming server" I have p03-imap.mail.me.com

My Wife has p02-imap.mail.me.com .... and has not got this problem.

    ------

I have setup a new rule for incoming mails (for the meantime):

move all incoming emails from postmaster@mac.com to trash and delete it.

Works fine for now,......until APPLE deals with the problem.

Thank you for replying.  It is happening to me on all 3 of my emails and across all my devices iPhone, iPad, iMac, Mac book!  Ill compare my settings to your wife's and see if different.  I don't really understand what you mean about sending incoming emails to trash..?  Thanks for trying to help me.

Thank you again.  Now i understand what you did, it's diverting the error messages to the trash....so its not as annoying...but the problem is still there.  I have a genius bar appointment scheduled and if i get answers i'll let you know.  I did the above in the meantime...Also, i checked my email settings and i have p03 like you. Thanks RTONLINE.

Same problem here since this morning. How do I divert the error messages to trash on the iPad so?

I suppose it's not a full solution to the root of the problem. Please post a solution after the Genius Bar visit dblutz.

And ask about both MAC OS and iOS if you get a chance.

    Thanks

Ok, after an hour long appointment at the Genius bar I was told that its a "Glitch" that they've not seen before, affecting no more than 5% of their mobile me users.  He deleted the account and added it back.  When that didn't do the trick he sent a message to technical support online exlplaining the problem and said they'd have to look into it further.

Bottom line is its not fixed, but it doesn't cause any harm to me or my contacts.

So, RTONLINE, you had the best advice, fix a rule to divert the annoying messages and keep my fingers crossed that APPLE will fix it.

Same for IPAD, IMAC, MACBOOK, and IPHONE use.
