I've got good battery life, try new batteries, etc.. always have problems with the connection on my magic mouse. I've come to the conclusion that the batteries themselves just don't fit properly as after I mess about with them (though I can't notice any discernable difference in the way they are seated or the connections made) it'll come back.  Not always instant but often takes  alot of fumbling about.

Curious if anybody else experiences this with these batteries.

I don't honestly think the batteries make any difference what so ever. My MM is all but useless. It spends more time down than operating. I have done everything suggested on this forum, including packing the batteries out with paper to ensure good connection. None of it works. It loses connection may times a day.

I have to say there is one way that I have found to get it connected other than switching off and praying, and that is to drop the thing from about 12" on to a hard desk top. That shakes it in to life for a while!!

It is a white mouse, but it is really a white elephant!

Sorry I cannot be of more help, but I really do not think it makes any difference what make of batteries you use. I have given umpteen feedbacks to Apple about the sorry device, but nothing ever happens. I even went into an Apple store to buy their batteries, but was told I had to buy six and a charging device because they do not sell small packs of batteries for their devices. What planet are they on?

    I wish you luck!

I've tried Duracell, Energiser rechargeable's, Uniross rechargeable's, Kodak, Everready, Boots, and any other ones I can get hold of. None of them maintain connection, and conventional ones go thru' power so quickly as to be untrue.  As I said earlier, it really is a lemon. I am at my wits end as to see how it can be rectified and work as the designer intended. I use the word "designer" guardedly!!

I will keep my eye on your post just incase someone can come up with lasting solution.
