Suject line says it all. I have a block of text that I've screen-grabbed from a PDF file. I want to highlight chunks of the text to make it easier to follow by brining different sections of text in and out with different opacity settings.

Can one do this with just one object (i.e. my pasted image) or does one have to try to paste multiple blocks of the same image onto the slide, deal with the nightmare of alignments and then control the opacity of each element indedpendently?

A screen grab imported into Keynote as an object can not be altered in Keynote, you would need to use an image editing application to perform any editing.

Text  should be copied from the PDF using Adobe Reader, then pasted into Keynote  into a text box, where the colour, saturation and brightness can be easily altered in:

    Inspector > Text > Colour
