- Select one clip in the Event so that it is highlighted with a yellow border.
- Go to the menu and select "Edit > Select All" - all clips will now be highlighted.
- Now press the E key on the keyboard, OR just drag all the highlighted clips to the project timeline.

As you have no intention of editing your Event try this;
For this you do not even need to create a Project. I tried this out as an experiment a couple of years ago with HDV footage and it worked.
Having got your footage into the Event you can now close iMovie.
From Finder->iMovie Events open up your required Event Folder. You should now see a folder called "iMovie Movie Cache" In this folder you should see a QuickTime Movie called "Cache- 25 .mov . This represents the footage that you have imported into your Event.
Now open up iDVD and drag this Cache-25.mov into iDVD to create your DVD.
I am not absolutely certain that you will see Cache-25.mov as this may depend on the source footage, (mine being HDV ) but you will be looking for Cache XX .mov or something very similar.
As this does not depend on creating a Project you save the time on Exporting /Share from the Project.
You may wish at a later stage to edit your events and of course for this you need to create the associated Projects where the editing is performed.This is not quite so daunting as you might think. The Ken Stone links that Klaus has included above are very good.(as iMovie 09 has many similarities to 11)
Hopefully this method will allow you to get your video onto DVD in a quicker way.

Event from Media Browser to iDVD.
Will etc04 be able to play DVD as one movie or will iDVD attempt to make a button for every clip?
I have never used Media Browser for iDVD so do not know it's capabilities.
Just gave it a whirl and iDVD tries to create a button for every clip in the Event.
