Network components are:  ISP supplied router connected to Extreme Base station. Two Express units connected by ethernet where the wireless signal from the Extreme doesn't reach.

Everything is set up and working as it should apart from I can only seem to get the Express units to broadcast either the 2.4 or the 5 Ghz networks, not both at the same time. I need the 5Ghz network for connecting the iMac and the 2.4Ghz network to connect the iPhones.

Surely this should be more simple than I'm making it!

Can someone help?

Can  you verify which model(s) of the AirPort Express that you have?

The "new" AirPort Express looks just like a miniature AirPort Extreme.

Otherwise, look for the Model No on the side of the AirPort Express. It might be something like A1264.

    Post back with that info
