Yes some ideas. Comcast is using pop mail accounts. you need to do some changes to your phone and computer settings in order to accommodate that. (those accounts a bit outdated and need to be managed in order to use with multiple devices)
Or you want to move on to gmail or hotmail.

You need to ditch Comcast mail on your Mac & phone. Comcast only provides POP, which means you will never be able to keep your mail in sync. Get a Gmail account, free, set that up as IMAP on both your phone & Mac. Forward your Comcast mail to your Gmail account. You can still use both email addresses, but you'll never have to deal with a POP account again, & your mail will be kept in sync.

I followed the link you supplied and reset some of my options on my iPhone and MacBook. Will now wait to see what happens. Thanks for your help.
