Q: i had purchased the conversion afdapter and keep getting incompatible for iphone 5 why?

bought conversion adapter and my iphone 5 keeps saying incompatible why?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2

    There are accessories that are sold without the "Made for iPod" insignia on the box - if it doesnt have the official stamp, then it doesnt have the authorization from apple and they unfortunatley put chips in cables to be read by the devices, and if they dont detect the chip - then apple can make the cables stop functioning.

     

     

    I reccommend if you can afford to buy an Apple iPhone, buy their accessories too.
