Q: I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird as a mail client, and my mail from me.com stopped being delivered 8 days ago, what happened?

8 days ago all me.com mail on all of my accounts stopped being delivered to Thunderbird.  All of my iOS 6 devices, and webmail through iCloud still work, but I keep getting requesters asking me to type in my new password for T-B which I haven't changed.  Anyone have any idea what's going on, or what I could do about the situation?  Has anyone else experienced this?

This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Thunderbird in any way. I suggest you post question on the Thunderbird forums

Thanks for your insights.  Fortunately I have solved the problem on my own.  The problem was in the username.  As you know, to sign in to Apple accounts, your username is your account ID, and this was how my maIl account was set up, and worked for years.  Apparently, on 3 March, the requirement changed, without users being notified.  I don't know who changed the requirement to using only the username part of the ID, Apple or Moziilla, but users should have been notified.

    Thanks, again for your insights.
