If it is not something you explicity ordered, DO NOT open it!

Don't open it. A hotel reservation would clearly identify the hotel information in the email. Look-up the hotel separately online or through phone information services.
Monitor you credit cards if you think they have been compromised and report any unusual charges immediately to your credit card provider.

As the others have indicated, you should not open it. If it's actually a file attachment, it's not a link, and should not be trusted. It's probably malware, though most likely it's Windows malware that can't affect your Mac. Still, better safe than sorry.
If it's not actually an attachment, but is a link, I still recommend not clicking it. It could very well be a phishing attempt.
If you are waiting for confirmation from a hotel, call that hotel directly. If you are not waiting for confirmation, it's probably just another scam to try to get you to open the contents.

Thanks all. This email i got, I think, is cleverly disguised "phishing". Looking up the hotel produced inconclusive info. No problems with credit report. Bless the Mac platform and all who responded. I've trashed it. Amazing what scammers come up with.

Credit Reporting agencies are the new target it seems. The recent reports in the news? A real mine of information all in one place for the asking.

I don't have a Facebook account and I get these:
Hovering the cursor over any link in the message shows that the link in the status bar does not connect you back to Facebook. Facebook has a terrible system for non-user's to report spam and phishing attempts so I report them only to the FCC. The FCC are less likely to take any kind of action.
