Dear All,

I am quite new to Mac OS X. I have iMac with MOC OSX 10.7.5 and I have spent many weeks to try to print from my iMac to IP Based printer.

My printer is FX Document Printer connected directly to the network. The printer is set so that every user requires to enter user name and password every time he/she prints a document.

I have installed this printer to my iMac but It DIDN'T PRINT at all.

Can any body helps me?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

First you need the IP address of the printer, you will need the printer's manual in order to get that information. Then open Print & Scan Preferences, on the left click the + sign which will open Add Printer then select IP (you will see Default, Fax, IP, Windows) then enter the IP address into the Address box and click Add.

If you can see the printer in the System Preferences Print & Scan box then right click it and choose Reset Printing System..., next log out of your user account and log back in. Finallyusing the IP address of the printer re-add the printer and test.

I am assuming the printer is connected directly to your network, if it's connected to another computer then you need to state that.I am also assuming it is connected to the router via ethernet.

If you continue to have trouble then follow the instructions carefully in

If you still cannot add the printer then call AppleCare, you have 90 days of free telephone support.
