I typed up a doc in Pages and I need to save it as a Web Page or .htm. How do I save a doc as Web Page in Pages?

Pages, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Pages does not have that feature.  You would have to put your content into another app which can create html, like TextEdit or iWeb or OpenOffice.

Do you know if Pages has added the capability to let a document be saved as a .htm file? Thanks.

Bummer, ok, thanks. I just started using Pages and want to use it for novels and fiction I'm going to publish on Kindle. Kindle support told me to export .pages docs as epubs to publish on their platform but when I looked at my epub on my Kindle Previewer the letters were way too small and illegible. Kindle then told me to save it as an htm file, but Pages can't do that. So I exported it to Word where I then saved it as an htm file. Do you know of a better way of doing this? And I've never used TextEdit, iWeb or OpenOffice. Do you know if one of those would be a better option than what I did?

    Thanks.

The font size should be set by the reader and is not fixed, especially if you have used the standard suggested style names.

Pages exports more or less correctly to ePub.

TextEdit is not hard, it also has styles, and is in fact a very powerful WordProcessor but can export to html which Pages can't. Pages can however offer much more control over any included graphics.

Ok thanks. I used what Kindle suggested, Times New Roman, 12 point size and when I looked at it as an epub on my Kindle Previewer the letters were way too small. And I even experimented with different point sizes in that test file and they all were too small. Maybe I should try another test with the epub format.

And I know most people can change the font size with their Kindles but some don't know how (people who are new to it, or are not techno-savvy like my Mom, who never touches a computer but just got her first e-reader, a Fire) and I wouldn't want them to have to, I'd like it to look fine as soon as they open my novel.

Maybe I'll try TextEdit, thanks for the suggestion. And strange, you'd think Pages would be able to export to html.

    Thanks again.

It did years ago when it was first released, but the feature was dropped later, probably because the results were so terrible.
