You can install each purchase of ML on one Mac. If you have purchased it and don't have it installed on another Mac as far as Apple's concerned you can install it on your work Mac. Now your employer might have something to say about it as it's their computer. Be aware that it is against the EULA to pass that Mac on to another person with that purchase of ML installed. Before you relinquish that Mac you should erase the hard drive and reinstall the original operating system or one that's legally registered to your employer.

You can install your purchased Mountain Lion on any Macs you own, no limit on the number. But, you must own the Mac. So installing on a work-owned Mac would violate the tems of the license agreement. If you did that you would have to erase the hard drive and reinstall the original Mac OS X as the ML copy would be registered to your AppleID and only you could update it.

I apologize. Ralph is right and my advice is wrong. Thanks for setting me straight Ralph.

No problem, Mike...we all revert to the old licensing concepts now and then, but Apple change all of that with Lion and MAS downloading.
