How do I access the @ key on the wireless keyboard
Isn't it Shift-2 as normally on keyboards?
No I get the Euro symbol
System Preferences > Language & Text > Input Sources
Change it from whatever it may be to "US" or British or something else with the @ symbol in the expected place.

I'm not familiar with a keyboard layout that has the Euro at Shift + 2. Do you remember which one it was?
The Apple Bluetooth keyboard

I meant when you went to look at system preferences/language & text/input sources, what did you have to change to get it to work right? Presumably the wrong box was checked, and I wondered what that was.
