Q: Macbook pro 2005 software to use?

Hi, i've a MacBook Pro from 2005 (2,4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo and 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM). I Don't know what is the best software to install. Can anybody help me pls?

    Well, the MBP wasn't released till 2006, so you don't have an '05 model.

    Go to >About this Mac, select "More Info" and post back here what it says next to "Model Identifier".

    It looks like it could RUN, but not boot from a 10.4 "Full Retail" DVD, or any "Full Retail" DVD later than that, probably NOT including 10.8.

     

    If you really want to use it, you should probably install 10.6. If you install an older version, be sure to disable JAVA (not javascript) in all your browsers.

    Ok, my MB model is Macbook3.1 . Now i have he lastest version MountainLion, but obviously i have a ll bit problems. What version should i install? Then, i have to stop updating ,right?

    You should install 10.6 from a full retail DVD, and update it to 10.6.8, including all security updates.

     

    Then if you decide you want iCloud or other features in 10.7, the App Store is available and you can get 10.7 by download.
