unlock iphone 5

I had my iphone 5 replace under warranty and is locked to a provider who can help me unlock it as none of the providers in AUS can help me

    You will need to contact the carrier who the device is locked to.  They are the only ones that can unlock the device.  If your previous device was "unlocked", you should be able to restore it to factory settings, and the unlock should transfer.

    In that case, you need to contact AppleCare, and have them look into it.  If you sent in an unlocked phone for a repair / replacement, they should have returned an unlocked phone.  This is assuming that the carrier had previously authorized the unlock.  If you had used a 3rd party unlock (and I am not accusing), you are probably going to have issues.

    None of the websites that offer unlocking are legit. As said, only the carrier can authorise unlocking.
