Good point Sk8dreams. Aside from that also look if they have actively posted credible suggestions, like ME since day one on this thread, i can assure everyone im not a troll .

However , i can tell you all, there probably isnt any more work-arounds to try, we may have a jackpot like lottery for a one solution fixes all, but i doubt that. The IOS 6 onwards and any I device that requires is has fallen down the black hole. I attempted to stress / warn everyone earlier not to upgrade, but damage is done and now its even more frequent you cant even use a device without it so doesnt matter.

If you've tried all the work-arounds on this thread since day one and NONE are good for you, you've done all the RESET methods APPLE suggests to try, then the next thing to do is get a replace Apple device if its under warranty.

Failing that, if the replacement still poses the same issue, then you device how many replacements you wanna go for, as some have been replaced nearly up to 10 times im hearing.

Aside from replacing the Apple device, you can also buy yourself a newer model of your WAP device or choose another brand. I dont want to hear any whinging about this suggestion from anyone, just "suck it up princesses" and realised maybe its time to be out with the OLD and in with the NEW, dont expect your 100 year old WAP device to work with new technologies all the time.

IF all your WAP, Network devices etc are ALL apple devices, then i guess you're in a world of pain if you cant even get them working happily together, you have APPLE support and have them to thank for your problems.

When Iphone 5s comes out, i wouldnt be rushing for it, i'd sit n wait to see what comes out of it

As far as im concerned, my Iphone 4S ran better than my iphone 5.

Iphone 5 is like Windows Vista... IMHO.

I have a 22mbit connection. My droid on speed tests gets 22mbits. My iPhone 5 gets 2!. Same server, even different servers. I disabled Bluetooth and now get full 22mbits on a few target servers using speed tests. ***** but it worked for me.

That can help however for those of us that have or had major connection issues prior to replacing the iPhone removing the case was pointless.

So more tests and I'm back to 4-5 mbit while my nexus 7 with the same server consistently gets 22mb. Arghhhh

i have a same issue on my iphone 5, my router is in my living room, and when i connect wifi in my room (about 25feet) i literally could not connect wifi and yet my wife  4 (with updated ios6) could connect to wifi with strong signal!

Apple party had to stand up and tackle on this issue, every iphone 5 user in this world had a same problem!

this is my 5th apple devices, and very disappointed on it, had made a decision to change samsung s4. disappointed apple management! bye

Just as an update, I went to the mall today and tested several wifi sources with  the fix I linked detailed in this video http://binarytoad.com/2013/03/14/iphone-5-slow-wifi-fix-workaround/. The results were that it was exactly replicable on some access points, BUT NOT ALL. The home router I use is a Netgear WNR2000v3.

It would be nice to hear from people who pull decent wifi speeds without the workaround, and what router/settings they use.

Same here. updated to 6.1.2 and now have the terrible wifi signal. Low signal, low speeds. I have 25/25 FIOS. on wifi I generally get 20+/20+ on most devices. iphone5 was 15/10 or thereabouts. Now I can get 1/1, 1/3, 3/9… it's all over the place. And I can get wildly different results 3 tests in a row.

For those who are unable to get their iPhone to connect to wifi at home BUT it works at the Apple store:

Try resetting the router. I had the issue of having wifi for the first 2 weeks of having the phone, and then it just stopped. I went to the Apple store and they told me to reset the router first and if that didn't work to restore the phone.

I hit the reset button and had to reinstall the router (couldn't find the CD so I had to manually install it -- lots of sites with info on how to do this online). Worked like a charm. And not to mention that the internet is now extremely fast. Perhaps by messing with the settings on the router you made some change you can no longer identify that caused the issue of no wifi. Just a thought. I understand that this doesn't apply for those who clearly have hardware issues, but it could help for those who can connect magically at the Apple store.

Also, I have the "MD" model.

    To Bill and EVERYONE,

Netgear are aware of WiFi issues with Iphone's / Apple devices and their products. They can assist with work arounds such as firmware changes, resetting network settings on your WAP and you might be lucky that is all works.

I was lucky that the IOS 6.1 now works with the latest firmware on my Netgear device where as IOS 6.0 - 6.01 was a disaster for months on my companies network.

This just points out, when Apple releases IOS updates to "potentially" make it more compatable, they are also breaking them in the process.

Unless ALL the WiFi Vendors start communicating with Apple with respect to their patch-updates, then nothing will get done, furthermore dont expect anything to be fixed any time soon.

I can atleast give credit to Netgear who admit there are issues, but i dont know if any other WiFi vendors are saying the same thing ?

Cres, What you'd outlined is part of Apples Troubles shooting guide relating to WiFi issues. IF everyone is able to scroll through these threads, this would of been mentioned already, but i guess its a good reminder for like the millions of times i need to be relayed. Good Tip.
