Is it possible to add footsteps walking through from the top to the bottom of a keynote slide?

If you mean an image of footsteps, add the image as many times as you want on the slide and add builds to each one.

Inspector > Build > Build in > Effect > Appear

select all the images on the slide

open the more options drawer, start build automatically and use a delay of 1 second to test.

    Wonderful! Thank you!

I am new to "build in" function. I just tried the suggestion with a Google image of footsteps, and run into a problem with the footstep image background hiding my slides. I don't know how to make the imported image background clear.

I looked on the Mac itselt, and found a set of footprints in the Mac Keyboard Characters, but they are spaced together, which gets in the way of trying to depict movement

Would you mind pointing out where I can find another inventory or internet source of "characters" (i.e. clear background footstep images) downloadable to Keynotes?

    Thank you kindly

    Michel

I would draw my own using the oval shape:
