A podcast I have subscribed to has stopped posting new episodes. I want it deleted. On iTunes 11 on my Mac I have unsubscribed and deleted it. However, it's still on my iPhone 5 (OS 6.0.1).

I have manually removed all episodes

I cannot delete the podcast itself from my iPhone. Again, I can remove podcast eposides... but the podcast itself remains.

Again, it's not in my iTunes Libarary (on my Mac)

It's not listed in the SETTINGS

It's not listed anywhere except the Podcast app. It won't go away.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

Scroll to the top of the podcast list. In the upper left corner above the table will be a button labeled Edit. Press that and the delete buttons will appear to the left of each podcast so you can remove the ones you want. This also allows you to reorder the podcast list using the drag panels on the right side of the list.

Matthew9999, can you tell me how you manually deleted single episodes? Thanks.

Thank you Matthew.  I had also missed the edit button because the initial view was scrolled down slightly.  This edit allowed me to delete an entire podcast, but, at least for me, did not allow me to delete an individual podcast.  When I connected the iPhone 5 to my laptop I was able to delete individual episodes from the phone directory, or by deleting a podcast from my iTunes libray then syncing the phone.  It would be nice to be able to delete an episode from the phone without connecting to a computer, but this way was pretty easy.

@nathanoscar - sounds like you clicked the Edit button on the "My Podcasts" screen (which will allow delete of entire podcast).  Instead of clicking Edit on that screen, select your podcast to go to the "Episodes" screen. There is another Edit button on that screen.  That Edit button will let you delete individual episodes.
