Mar 19, 2013 3:08 AM in response to BDAquaby photomouse,Hi BDAqua, Thanks for your reply. I have tried resetting the PMU a few times with power on/off and made checks to cables etc. but no luck. The only difference was that the rear fans are no longer running at high speed. The mouse is connected by cable to the keyboard which in turn is connected by cable to the G5. Maybe I need to test the power output from the seperate transformer to the cinema display? Any more suggestions welcome. Thanks, photomouse.

Mar 19, 2013 10:46 AM in response to photomouseby BDAqua,Do you have another Mac with Firewire, so you can boot the G5 in Target mode...

So we can maybe look at the log files on the G5 for clues?

Mar 23, 2013 10:00 AM in response to BDAquaby photomouse,Hi BDAqua,
I'm still having a problem with my Apple Cinema HD Display 23 " connected to a G5 Power PC running OSX 10.4.11. The screen will not wake from sleep mode unless I unplug everything, wait a few minutes and then reboot. I have set the sleep for the computer and the display to never but it still goes to sleep leaving the acd blank (with no little blue light on) Any further suggestions welcome. Thanks, Photomouse

Mar 23, 2013 10:41 AM in response to photomouseby BDAqua,Is the G5 really sleeping. or could it be the Monitor just going off?
Hold a flashlight at an angle to the screen real close, do you see a faint Desktop?

Mar 23, 2013 11:09 AM in response to BDAquaby photomouse,Just held a torch to the screen but can't see anything. I was listening to some music on iTunes and it carried on playing whilst the screen went blank.

Mar 23, 2013 4:13 PM in response to BDAquaby photomouse,Yes, maybe the transformer heats up and then stops working - I'm going to try and test it - I'll let you know. Cheers, Photomouse
