I have a general question about the remind me at location...in reminders.  I have my iPhone restrictions set to not allow changes. This is after I enabled location services for the reminder app.  Now, if I go and create a reminder, I cannot set it to remind me at a location.  However, if I go back in and undo my restrictions and allow for changes, I can set the reminder to remind me at a specific location.  I've set my restrictions to not allow changes so if I my iPhone falls in the wrong hands, they cannot turn off the location services thus disabling the location my iPhone. Did Apple miss a step or am I doing something incorrectly.  Seems kind of pointless if I have to go through all those steps each time I want to set a reminder to remind me at a specific location and maintain phone security.

Thank you RezX for the Solution. I too have a Microsoft Exchange account.  From an IT stand point it is logical really, that the location based fields are not present in Microsoft Exchange, that being a third party platform.

Having multiple Task/Reminder lists ie Microsoft Exchange + iCloud is a bit of a pain when you instruct Siri to add a location based reminder.  It requires a two step process to ask the phone to transfer the reminder to another list.  Here is an example:

So I say to Siri: "Remind me ring Mum, when I get home."
Siri: "Ok, here's your reminder when you get home. Shall I create it?", and the reminder is displayed.
Me: "Put it on my phone list"
Siri: "Ok, I can add this to your 'Phone' list in Reminders. Shall I create it?", and the reminder is displayed again.
    Me: "Yes"
    Siri: "Ok, I'll remind you."

well done, now I have location services available in Reminders.

Kinda new at this and find it kinda complex to use this feature,(if it even works in Canada!).

    Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot! I'm using the iPhone5 but I was having the same problem & your solution was 100% dead on! Thanks again!

General reply to put this as the last post... Iphone 5 iOS 7. The problem is in settings| mail, contacts, Candandars | scroll all the way down to calandandars and change your default calandar t ICloud. Fixed.

How rubbish there is not a simple note saying not available because iCloud is not your default or perhaps just assume that when you set a reminder that requires locations of course you will need to use iCloud on that occasion. Sloppy sloppy sloppy.

iCloud is not my default. In fact, I don't use it for calendars at all. But location based reminders work just fine for me.

If you use your phone for work, chances are your default reminder is set for that email account.  All new reminder on the phone are placed to the default account. Change the default to icloud.  Your work reminders will still pop-up

    Settings>Reminders>Default List> select icloud reminders

If this isn't set right you wont get location based reminder options in the reminders app.  To test this, ask Siri to remind you to scratch your head when you get to work.

I don't have any problems with my location based reminders.
