What is your country? If you tell us, maybe someone from the same country can help you.

Saudi Arabia is on the list as being covered.

Ah, Saudi Arabia has been a problem for Apple sales due to some of the use restrictions.  A complete list of the world-wide Apple stores is at: http://www.apple.com/retail/storelist/ but there is nothing in the region you could use unless you want to try contacting one of those stores and see what they would advise.

Also, the Apple corporate contact information is: http://www.apple.com/contact but all phone numbers are US 800 toll-free numbers.

Your best bet may be to find someone selling an official Apple Lion flash drive.  Be careful about buying one that is not the official drive.

He should try to call the number that is given:

    (44) 0844 209 0611

It appears to be the UK number.

Unfortunately Mountain Lion will not work on all Core 2 Duo Macs, they have to be on the compatible hardware list: http://www.apple.com/osx/specs  Mountain Lion places a load on the graphics unit and not all cpu-qualifying machines have a gpu that qualifies.

After spending time helping another user get Lion on an older machine, I have to agree it would be so much better to have Lion available in the App Store without all the hassle of getting a download code.  That code, by the way, is sent by email and may take a couple days to appear.

Download and use Skype to call the UK number. It can't cost that much to call the UK using Skype.
