I started up a song that I was working on earlier in the day. When I opened it, I got this message, screenshot attached. "The audio file bass#51.aif was not found in it's expected location." I searched my computer for the file bass#51.aif and it is not even on my computer or trash anywhere. I did not empty the trash since the last recording session. There are several missing files like this.

Any thoughts on how to recover or what is going on? When I open up the file, using skip all, there are several blank tracks, and when I playback I get a "file not found" error before the song starts.

Thanks

Did you remove or change anything (consolidate) in  the Audio Bin (In Logic)

That file looks like it is an audio file you recorded (or edited) as compared to a sample or external 3rd party audio file..and so it should reside in that folder (as shown in the dialog box) for that song unless you removed it or other wise changed anything...
