Mar 20, 2013 2:07 PM in response to bfewellby timothy.a.clifton,★HelpfulWhen you sign out of the iTunes and App stores try not signing back in to it right after, power cycle your iPad then launch the App Store and see if it connects if it does then sign back in and see if it occurs again.

Best Fixes for ‘Cannot Connect to iTunes Store’ Errors

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

May 9, 2013 5:19 PM in response to bfewellby Cbirch15,Do you use a VPN? I had a similar problem last week and after trying everything suggested, I went to Settings>General>Profiles and cleared the VPN profiles. No problem getting into the App Store and getting mail updates after that.
You can always restore you VPN settings afterwards.

Jun 26, 2013 9:13 PM in response to bfewellby 9thoma,★HelpfulOpen Settings, then go to General >> Date and Time. Switch the Set Automatically option to Off, then set the date one year ahead. Try to open the App Store again, and if you get another error message, go back and correct the date by switching Set Automatically back to On. Now you should be able to connect with no problems.

Jul 20, 2013 7:41 AM in response to bfewellby lec_02067,This can also happen if there is an app update that was left pending. You can see this if you go to updates and there is an App where the progress bar is not moving. When this happens the best solution is to find the App on your device ( outside of the App store app ) and tap on the icon. This will induce the app to continue the download. After the App finishes loading, you should have full access to the App Store once again.

Sep 21, 2013 10:54 PM in response to 9thomaby ekelly1991,I'm just wondering why I had to do this in the first place? I had a 64gb and traded it in for the one with more gb and I never had to go to settings and do this "time switch thing" with the 64gb ipad. Could there be something wrong with my new ipad? Also both we're new... Like why I had to do this on this ipad but not other one. Is it a hardware or software issue? Should I go get another ipad since I just go this one today? Maybe apple didn't install things right on this ipad? Will I have to fix more things on it?
Idk just opening up a brand new ipad and having something already WRONG with it makes me frustrated and discouraged. Idk if I can trust the apple ipad product since it seems to have so many glitches... Also the screen was flickering when I was downloading new apps is this normal? Also I touched one app in the App Store and it opened up the one above it as if I were clicking the one above it when I didn't... It only happened once..
Idk I'm just scared these problems are just a SIGN that I have a BAD IPAD. ?????
