oh - and of course they sent me away from the genius bar when i went in two days before my applecare was up asking them to replace the keys which are all wobbly and wonky.
the guy actually asked me to tell him specifically which keys were a problem as he didn't want to just replace them all for me for some reason.
now i have a list of 23 keys and i am going to spend MORE OF MY TIME taking this thing in so i can work on it and i have to trust his word when he tells me that he will replace them for free out of warranty.
then i will have to do this again with the /other/ keys when they fail on the coming months or within the next six months to a year...bummer.
< SIGH >

i had a second thought here to apologize to the moderators on this post. i've been very frustrated and i am hoping that my venting has not caused me to cross any lines on the forum.
anyway, it appears to in fact be a dead issue from a customer service perspective so at least it puts it all to bed for me with respect to trying to resolve it in my favor in any way.
