Numbers does support the function substitute()
I did not see the functions cell() and redirect() in the function browser.
There is afree function reference here:
which you can use

I am not familiar with REDIRECT nor do I see it in the list of Excel functions. Did you mean INDIRECT? Numbers has INDIRECT.
CELL is not supported but many of the values it returns are available through other functions. Values related to cell color, width, and formatting are not available in Numbers.

Thank you. Yes, I meant INDIRECT. I doubled check what I did with CELL and I use only its address attribute, I can change that fairly easily to fit in with Numbers. SUBSTITUTE Is actually supported. So, I am good to go with Numbers, and can wait to be able to use Numbers on iPad/iPad Mini. I feel like I am now part of the laptop-to-tablet migration!
Thank you again for prompt responses. You guys are very helpful!
