Since upgrading to Mountain Lion my Macbook pro has become slow and sluggish.

System:

Macbook Pro

2,66 GHz Intel Core i7

8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB

When I first upgraded to Mountain Lion the system felt slower. Lots of beachballs where they were'nt before. Even in simpel Apps like mail. It also took longer to boot.

One week later the mac wouldn't boot at all. Recovery told me there was a bad Hard Link and the disk couldn't be repaired.  I formatted the drive, reinstalled Mountain Lion then transferred my files back using Time Machine.

Then Premiere Pro cs6 crashed. Restoring through Time Machine didn't work. I had to reinstall the app.

Now the Mac appears to be working, only  it is still slow. Finder often doesn't recognize external devices (it sees them but they are grey so I can't use them).

Finder often doesn't react for 10 minutes.

Forcing to stop finder stops it, but then it won't restart. Shuting the system down using Shut Down under apple logo doesn't work either. I have to use the power button.

I have half a mind to go back to Snow Lepoard since everything worked well in that OS, but I see no reason why ML shoudl react this way on my system.

Any Thoughts?
