i have had to change the email addy on my Apple ID and despite having updated the ID in iTunes my iphone & ipad don't recognise the new ID. I have restored the iPad to factory settings but the old ID keeps appearing.

I have contacted Apple support who talked me thru the restore but it hans't changed. My devices keep gpoing back to the old email /ID

    Settings>iCloud>delete account.

Settings>iCloud>add account with your new ID.

    Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID>Sign out.

Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID>Sign in with your new Apple ID.

Same for iMessage and FaceTime settings.

Hi everyone, this is exactly the problem I have but when it says delete account, it says it will remove all my pictures etc stored on the phone, I do have them backed up on the laptop but I'm still a bit scared....will this do this? Thank you in advance

    Did you do this?

I have changed my Apple ID as my email address has changed. Deleting icloud account sounds very permanent and dangerous!!!

Does it remove stuff from the phone - surely it wil just delete the stuff in the cloud?  And hopefully restore them all to a new account next time I backup?

I'd be grateful if someone could confirm that deleting an icloud account and creating a new one is the correct way to go.

    Thanks!
