I have the "Motion Templates" folder on a RAID0 hard drive, for speed and a Symbolic link (/Movies/Motion Templates.localized) pointing on the RAID0 hard drive folder "Motion Templates" and it works fin with both Motion 5 and FCPX.

But now I want to change the structure to:

A Symbolic link, /Movies/Motion Templates/Generators/Projectxx.localized, pointing to the folder /Generators/Projectxx.localized in a mounted ProjektXX.sparsbundle.

It works fine in Motion 5 but and you can them in the Motion 5 Projec Browser but I don´t get them up in the Generator Browser in FCPX.

Motion templates do not rely on drive speed to operate at all.  Moving them to a RAID doesn't buy you any performance advantage.  They're just static data, not streams, themselves.  Just keep them on the system drive where they belong and forget about some convoluted structure of Aliases.

Thanks god to now that their is no perfomance reason to put Motion files on speedier hard drive.

The other reason is to keep files that belong to the ProjektXX in one ProjektXX.sparsbundle.

In FCPX when you are running severall different projecs it is nice to just mount that ProjektXX.sparsbundle you are working on and only get the ProjektXX Motion Templats and get rid of all projects templates not in use.

It makes it also makes it easier to have your work on external hard drive and work on different computers.

Espacely god if you have to mixing work between office and in the feild.

Don't junk up your templates folder with worthless templates.  Only buy what you really need.

But as far as junking up, first, they don't take up much drive space.  Second, they're all in collections on the left hand side, which makes them very easy to get through.  Not to mention the  Search Feild at the bottom.

Every Mac working on the same projects should logically have the same plugins installed.

The idea of Aliases in a disk image is interesting, but I'm wondering if it is worth all the time and work it takes to create and maintain it?

Hopefully Apple makes the Motion 5 folder structure workes the same as for FCPX witch findes Projects and Events structures on every hard drive and disk image mount to the computer as long it is in the root of the disk.

An exampel with to annual events ProjectSpringEvent and ProjectWinterEvent

You build Transitions, Vinjetts, Lower Thirds for each Event and for 2-3 weeks a year you work with it, rest of the time you want them to hibernate in its den.

As it is now you will have them as unneeded moment of distractions but the FCPX Events and Projetcs will not be visible as log as the sparsbundel isn't mounted.

With Atomator it easy to make Services (right click menu) "Make Symbolic link from Sparsbundel to Motion Generators" etc..

So if you have anny idea of why it works with Motion 5 but not FCPX and a soultion i will be

That is what "Themes" are for.  Assign them all a Theme, then you go to the  Themes Browser, and have access to all of them at once, without the clutter of everything else.

Fill out the feedback page and let Apple know what you want.

I use one Theme for each Project and if you have 2 or 10 projects it still would be nice to hide those project you not working on.

The other moment is that you build you Grafics for the project in your studio on the biggg computer on an extarnal hard drive and then in the field on the MacBookPro starting to work with the new footage, and you if had to make a adjustment in a Transition, added a Title, the back in the studion and then if you want to continue to work on the biggg computer ...

Moving, coping, having duplicats, witch is the latest version, etc., is not fun and a risk for misstakes

    You get the point

Being sure the same plugins are on all your Macs is something you have to do in all applications.  It is not difficult, very easy, very simple.  DropBox or any sort of server makes it a snap.

Feedback page is in the Application menu inside of the each app.  "Final Cut Pro" in FCP, "Motion" in Motion 5.
