I found this on the Apple Store site in regards to their World Adapter Kit:
"Please note. To use this kit with devices that use a Lightning connector — such as iPhone 5, iPad mini, and iPad with Retina display — you will need a Lightning to USB Cable, sold separately."
So since I have the iPad 3, the first with the Retinal Display, seems I have to have this Lightning connector? Or what happens if I don't use it? Will it "break" the iPad?
Allan is usually right so the pin adapter he has found will no doubt do the job. But having said that, it is only an adapter you need. Apple products work on a universal basis 100 to 240 V. I really think lightening protecton is unnecessary and anyway, Apple accessories are usually grossly overpriced. I think you should pick up the phone or drop by and talk to one (or two) geniuses. Radio Shack is another source of adapters.
