Depends on the feature. If anything, iTunes 11 has added a great many new features that I appreciate. The whole album art worship thing is bizarre to me. It is as if users are constantly fiddling with the meta data for the music library. As if most of the media is corrupt? Typically imports of new material are problem-free. Anyways, I thought the main objection was the loss of the album image as a crutch for "remembering" what song one has selected (not playing)?

Do me a favor and tell me what is Fantastic about Itunes 11,  maybe all of us on this thread are missing something WONDERFUL an AMAZING,  and thu your eyes since all of us apparently are on crutches.

Seriouly what do you like about the NEW DESIGN ?

Why do you like that features are gone. ?

Why do find it easier to make a Playlist and Edit ones that have already been made.

Why do like like the New movie download features ?

Are you blind to the fact that they are making the Itunes 11 my STORE features than uder freindlly and why do you like that ?

and if your smart , you will stop being a Rebel an JOIN THE CASUE MAN.

I'll come to Max7's defense - iTunes 11 does have some nice new features if you think about it - sidebar &  status can now be hidden (or not).   This is a new capability you didn't have before.       "Search entire library" is something you couldn't do before, and is easy to disable if you don't like it.       "Up next" is pretty powerful - it's like iTunes DJ on steroids - you can add to a queue in front of a larger playlist but behind what's playing next, or just play next.     You can create a Genius playlist based on what's playing now and either make that your new playlist, or cherry pick from that playlist and incorporate into what's currently scheduled.        "Up next" does take getting used to, but it does do everything iTunes DJ did and much more.

I lived with iTunes11 for a month and liked it, but ultimately decided the drawbacks outweighed the attributes. I now have close to 70,000 songs cultivated from many sources.     iTunes11 severely constrains library management capabilities when trying to add correct artwork, manage song tags, and when importing from uncompressed formats like .WAV or .AIFF.      With iTunes11 my library was unraveling, and when I switched back to iTunes 10.7 it was like a breath of fresh air.

Album art preview is user selectable in iTunes 10, you can close it if you don't want to see it.     When Apple brings back artwork preview and the abilility to open multiple windows, I'll switch back to iTunes11.    The hidden ability to "import as" which basically turns iTunes into a batch audio file convertor is gone with iTunes11 as well, that was useful when importing large .aif or apple lossless files when all I wanted was an mp3, but that's not a dealbreaker.    Album preview and multiple windows is.

Ignore Max777, he's just a bored apple fanboy.  I've explained to him at least 7 times why album art  in song view is important.  He's got a real agenda/axe to grind/emotional instability and ignores all of the responses here and just wants to undermine this complaint and make excuses for itunes 11.

Many of us need to use song view to manage our libraries, and there is no album art.  Not to mention the loss of the preview for selected track, there's no album art for the song playing either.

And switching between views is not a viable solution for many reasons which I've explained multiple times.

Do'nt yall think its at the point where you can safely move on to a different music player or accept the fact changes were made and come to accept them? yeah yeah everyone has a gripe and what they like and do not like about itunes 11 but its obvious the majority of itunes users has ruled against you.  I could careless about how many tracks anyone has or what any of you do for a living with your music because Apple obviously could care less so I suggest everyone accept the fact someone moved your cheese and move on.  No patience or desire to read through the past 40 pages or so as the immature dialog and communist controlling is enough to make any adult want to put this forum on a serious time out.  Ya'll are just inmature.

Ah, so... the one with no patience to read through forty pages of comments is the mature one? I see. Basic literacy is a sign of immaturity, I should have known. Felled by an ad hominem argument once again.

Since when was the decision to drop artwork in list view put up to a vote among users?

The users didn't decide, Apple did.

And just like the way they deleted Find exact duplicates, which they later restored, they can do the same here.

Be it as it may it has will not change the fact APPLE has betrayed you. And what do you do to a company that has betrayed you??  You stay with it...  If you were really smart you would leave the product or start some serious dialog on a BLOG and forward your concerns to APPLE. Perhaps all 6 of you should gather outside APPLE with some signs chanting your dismay.

And what exactly are we supposed to move on to?  There is no alternative application.  Not yet anyways, not until Jriver is up.  Another "work around" that either doesn't exist, doesn't work, or doesn't even address the problem.

Apple has created a closed system, which works if they pay attention and make quality products.  But a closed system that does not work for a large percentage of users is a really bad move.

So if customer usage did not play a part in the changes to itunes 11 what makes you think sending feedback will make Apple bring back the functionality you can't live without?

Move on as in,, DEAL WITH IT.. Make the best of it.  Make music,  feed the homeless, go on a trip to Europe. if you were that upset over APPLE you would have dropped them when they betrayed you.. other then that you are as someone said.. "a fan boy"  Sitting here complaining and arguing with people is not going to help. It makes you look desperate... "APPLE LOOK AT ME IM HERE AND I WANT ATTENTION" when it is 100% obvious that this art work view was not in the best interest for the itunes platform, its customers or the business.  But the funny thing is APPLE still wins in the end because you still download from itunes and till use apple products. So there ya are..

A true Apple fanboy would go along with whatever Apple decided to do. Looks like you fit that more than those that are complaining. It's not like a new feature wasn't introduced, a useful feature that had already been coded was removed. Album artwork was an option, I just want to be able to choose to display or not display.

I manage 3 iTunes libraries of about 170K songs, and only 5 or six songs are downloads, all singles where I didn't want to download the whole album.

Okay so how about you screen shot that 170k number and share it..  You can go back and fourth all day... however in the end APPLE BETRAYED you and you are doing nothing about but having a cyber debate with total strangers (as this DEVIL guy types so hard with rage his response) cant wait to see what he has to say.

Agreed, this whole thing started because Apple Took functionality out of a already working product, You can call me an Apple fanboy all day, and I'll gladly go along with it, because the products are ridiculous, but this is one of Apple's most stupid moves, starting with maps, and then iTunes, if they mess-up  logic Pro I'm out.
