Have the page layout options changed in iPhoto '11?  I had designed a book last fall in iPhoto, and now a relative would like a reprint of it. In the interim I've upgraded to iPhoto '11. When I opened the book to reorder it, I found that the layout had been radically changed- photos that had been on a single page are now used as a spread, etc.

Now I'm trying to restore the layout. I have a PDF of the previous order as a reference, but I'm finding it difficult to duplicate. For instance, I had pages with one vertical and one horizontal photo, and I can't seem to find that layout option now.

Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestions?

I need to get this ordered quickly for a special occasion. Thanks in advance for any help!

Changed from what? From iPhoto 4 yes - from iPhoto '09 minimally and I believe all extentions

With no point of reference I guess the answer is maybe

As to pages with particular orentiation of photos - in most page layouts the photos frames switch automatically to match the photo

Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

iPhoto '11 has more option than iPhoto '08 - many more

It sounds like you may have some more issues - any otehr strange "happenings" with your iPhoto library?

Try a different theme - frame orientation does not change for some themes and for some ayouts

This set of examples for iPhoto '09 and the associated discussion may help you - http://www.iphotobookthemes.com/pmwiki.php?n=Main.FamilyAlbum

    That theme are you using?

I know this is like closing the barn door after the horse has gone but for future books you might consider the workflow described in this tutorial: iP08 - Archiving an iPhoto Book for Editing and/or Ordering at a Later Date.

For instance, the frame orientation still doesn't change with the photo, at least within the theme I'm using (Family Album).
