Why do I have to switch to another tab in order to close the tab I'm already on and want to close? Only thing I don't like about Safari and I think it's ridiculous.
If I want to close the tab I'm on, I click on the 'X' and it will highlight but won't close the tab. The only way that works is switching to any other tab and then closing the tab I previously wanted to close by clicking on the 'X' normally. Makes no sense. Is their an option where I can change this? It's really annoying to have to do this for every tab just to close. Appreciate any help thanks.
Works fine... must be something with Safari not being stable. Click on Safari on the menu and choose Quit. Then start it back up and try again. If it still doesn't work right, restart the Mac by clicking the Apple icon on the Finder menu and while holding down Option key, choose Restart.
