I cant get iMessage to work. It doesnt pick the phonenumber. It picks the email address. I have restarted several of times. White can l do? Thank you.

    Very simple brotha

     

    Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and tick your phone number.

    I have done that, but l cant pick the number, just the email adress

    Hmm. In my opinion its greyed out because its already selected At least its greyed out and selected in my iPhone.

    Your Imessage feature has nothing to do with your mobile number. Imessages travel using date connection and routed using the email attached to your apple ID.

     

    Make sure your apple ID isn't currently registered to any old Iphones. Also try singing out of your apple Id on your phone and signing back in.

     

    Also what happens when you attempt to send a Imessage.

    -Verify you are messaging a imessage compatable device Iphone 3gs and up

    -Verify data connectivity via mobile network or wifi

    Try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2755 for troubleshooting messages, and this one http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4268 for troubleshooting iMessage activation. You might want to turn iMessage off, wait a couple of minutes and then turn it back on again.

    Are you signed into imessage? Settings>messages>send and recieve. Do you see your appleid on top OR do you see Use your appleid for imessage?

    Can you explain moore what  you mean, please. Another thing thats wrong is the clock, it doesnt show the tight time in the sms. Maybe the problems has to do with each other.
