Looks like your stuck with me! Because I don't post useless fixes? None of them work!! Call Apple and complain!! Maybe Apple will do something about it! Apparently a lot of idevices are suffering from firmware updates! Apple reads from a piece of paper, say this, say that. CALL AND COMPLAIN!! Or this will never get fixed! Right to the Internet. Delete some apps? Turn everything off? Reset networking? Restart as new? Drain battery and charge for 12 hours?

You get the point. I tried and tried and nothing works. It's the firmware. Coming here for help is pointless. I offer nothing. Period!

I will agree coming here for a fix is useless. Take your iPhone to a Apple store and let them look at it, No one on this site are I.T guys or Engineers. For little minor fixes you might get some help here. If you damage your device listening to someone on this site, then Apple might not cover you.

I'm sure you must be right. Everyone who posted that they solved the problem by following the tips in this or another thread are lying.

Having the same problem and it makes me so unhappy :((((((

Correct!! Small tips, but as for the battery drain issue, know one knows nothing! No fix unless Apple releases another firmware, and I'm sure that wont fix it. I would like to buy the iPod touch 5g but I'm not gonna get stuck charging that thing everyday! I was gonna get the new iPhone, hella problems with that, nice phone but you can't use it the way you want. I'm so frustrated with Apple and the blindness to the battery drain issue! Run a test and tell me nothing is wrong with your battery. I'm sure the battery is fine, but what is causing it to drain so fast? I've worked with so many senior advisors and nothing is fixed.

All still the same...unhappy Apple customer. Long time customer. I'll call Apple everyday! Got nothing else better to do. Until work starts up again....lol  I just don't think these battery drain forums should be allowed? Not one tip has helped, all we do is B and moan! Most of us. So I think this is my farewell to you all and good luck! Keep positive...Apple may fix this problem, give em time.

Many people have solved the battery drain issue. Permanently. And said so in this thread.

But I've decided to give up feeding trolls. People who want to fix their battery drain problem will find the tips in the thread helpful, and will be smart enough to ignore trolls like you and a few others.

To anyone who wants to fix their battery drain problem I suggest posting a new message rather than posting in this thread; leave this one to the trolls and and the naysayers, let them comfort and reinforce each other.

    Lawrence

Not everyone why are people still complaining? And the minor fixes that are posted here you can Google it and get the same results. See I am not a programmer if I was I will be able to run the software and debug it for everyone. That is up to Apple programmers. See I have no problem with the software it is running fine for me. See with software if you make it perfect then programmers will be out of a job. See 1 out of every 30 may get a fix by doing the work around.

Just because the software is running ok on your devices in mines is because we have no bug in the software that is draining the battery. That is why I say take the phone into a Apple store and let them look at it. Who know the firmware might need to be updated.

You can complain all you want to Apple. Just keep doing the updates when Apple releases them, they have bigger problems then worrying about a battery drain issue right now. Apple programmers have to try to stay ahead of these hackers who are trying to find holes in the software so they can jailbreak. That is why I say update when one come out.

There might be a fix in one of the updates for the battery problem who know. That is why there are so many updates try to say ahead of the game. You will have another update soon here because of a hole in the 6.1.3 update.

Verizon's got a list on which software apps will drain your battery and data plan, Verizon Engineers compile this list after testing these apps. 13 apps all games will drain your battery and will eat your data plan at a rapid clip.

I'm having the same issue. It didn't affect me until 6.1.3, I have an iPhone 4S. I just tried the suggestion to turn off Exchange mail in settings, reboot phone and turn it back on. I'll post back if it works.

well after 3 or so days of no phone or itouch usage and probably hours of testing, including wiping and restored both devices (to no avail) and all the apps and map data etc, which took 8 hours each just to do the itunes.  what  PIA!!     But, i finally got both devices back.   now i'm at  ~5 hours standby and i'm still on 100% on both.   both devices are cool to the touch, not warm.

i turned off every every feature to no avail (and i mean everything, no email, no apps, no icloud, nada) one by one until the last 2, and unfortunately i didn't do them one at a time.

    safari (icloud)

    facetime.

one of those 2 apps was killing my phone and itouch.  i don't use facetime but it was always 'on'.  i rarely use safari.

one of them or both was draining the battery so fast (3 hours complete discharge) that the iphone actually stayed warm the whole time.

so i'm done, and now MUCH smarter about not jumping every time apple has an update.    i'd rather have security holes than this awful mess.

i just hope my batteries were not damaged by this.
