Q: How do you stop the ipad changing the photo's file name

Before I buy it can you tell me - does photo manager pro open up when you connect the camera or card rather than the inbuilt photos app.

Hopefully last question -

I got the impression that the ipad was changing the name on import into camera roll.

What I want to do is retain the orginal file name as shot in the camera.  And then copy them to a drop box while travelling overseas as insurance if the memory card gets corrupted or if my cameras get stolen.

I was trying to avoid taking a pc - if i did I would just copy them on to the hard and edit them in Lightroom or Photoshop. I just wanted to use my iPad as a conduit.
