Q: iTunes won't let me edit CD and song information?

What happns when you try?

It seems the songs are protected. You can try to convert them to AAC format to allow a different non-protected version to be created.

There is a much easier way of solving this rather than converting all of the tracks to AAC..

1) Go to where the album folder is stored on your PC and right click on the folder.

2) Click on properties and unselect the box that says 'read only'.  After clicking apply, click OK to confirm changes.

3) Now iTunes should let you edit the song info and add artwork

Thanks this worked for me. i thought updates are meant to make things easi , not with iTunes it appears

Mine is not selected as "read only" and still it won't allow changes.
