Why does Apple sell Jawbone products when they are non serviceable and thus essentially throwaway as this does not align with Apples environmental stewardship culture?

I had a Jambox fail just out of warranty and it turns out a lot of people had the same failure (USB charging port connector falls off surface mount circuit board).  There have been so many posts on this that clearly it is a design flaw.  The issue is that it is a simple easy to access board that can be replaced however Jawbone does not offer repair services or spare part sales for any fee.  They do offer a 25% credit on a new product however I find this pretty shocking that a tiny connector turns the jambox into an electronic brick destined for the landfill when nothing else is wrong with it.  I don't understand how Apple can hold environmental stewardship as a core value then offer products like this for sale o line and in their stores.
