Q: Can anyone tell me how to sync calendars from an iPhone to an iPod touch?

We have successfully synced all calendars from our other Apple products Imacbooks, iPad and phones) but my son cannot seem to get the shared calendars on his iPod touch.  On the phones, it says the invite is pending......
