Apr 5, 2013 11:05 AM in response to Kyle_W@HPby Kilmaclom,I upgraded from 10.8.2
My printer is an HP Photosmart 6510.
I succeeded in booting in Safe mode, managed to get into the App store and downloaded Airport 6.2 update.

Regarding your iMac problems:
Try the basics first:Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

Apr 5, 2013 1:20 PM in response to Kilmaclomby Russa,Suggest you delete the airport service in Systems Preferences/Network "-" and then recreate it "+" You may have to reconnect your printer to your Mac via the USB cable installation process.
Did you repair permissions after the installaiton?

Apr 5, 2013 1:44 PM in response to Kilmaclomby Eric Root,Try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.
