You know how in System Preferences>Network there are two drop-down boxes? One says Location and one says Show. The problem is, I don't have the Show drop-down menu, and I need it to setup this USB Adapter I just bought. Any suggestions?

iBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

    Hmmm, pretty strange!???

Did you install the driver without the USB device connected, reboot, plug in the device, then not get new port detectedwhen going to Network Pref Pane?

Did you click on the tiny gesr there?

No worry about being a n00b, we all were at one point, & if you knew you wouldn't need to ask.

Oh, & on 10.5.8 there is no Show, as 10.4.11 & earlier had.

On the bottom left of the network pref pane, click the tiny plus icon, what shows as choices?

In Aplications, do you have something called USB Wireless Utility or such?

It may take us a while to figure this out, so hang in there with me please.

    What brand/model device is this?
