Mar 29, 2013 7:50 AM in response to tvlabergeby Nicolas Harnois,I had the same endless loop problem and solved it by running Match while connected to my AceVPN Ultimate account. As others have hinted here, it seems like my ISP (Videotron) is blocking/throttling outbound ports used by Match. AceVPN Ultimate is a paid service, but there are free alternatives that some of you might try to see if this fixes things for you.

Apr 1, 2013 9:36 PM in response to Phil Marinucci1by _sparticus_,Hey thanks Phil! I did some experimenting of my own and apparently iTunes will try to upload faster than what your ISP allows on your whatever plan you are subscribed too. If you convert your current speed you are subscribed to, usually displayed in Megabits(mine was 5Mbps), to Kylobytes you can effectively throttle your internet speed to what you are currently subscribed too. Which in my case was 640KBps. I also figured out that you only need to throttle port 5223. Tested it out with Entonnoir and voila! Works like a charm. Thanks for helping everyone out with this!

Apr 7, 2013 6:43 AM in response to Phil Marinucci1by Ian Gibb,Does anyone know of a Windows 8 equivalent to Entonnoir? I'm looking for one, but not having any luck so far, I've had a non-working Match subscription since the fall and I'm tired of only having 25 songs on my iPad

Apr 7, 2013 6:59 AM in response to Ian Gibbby Phil Marinucci1,Hi Ian,
There are two throttling apps for Windows that I know of...
http://www.seriousbit.com/netbalancer/
Either one should do the trick.

Those are both paid apps, do you know of any freeware ones?

Apr 16, 2013 1:46 PM in response to _sparticus_by pizzafungh2000,Hi sparticus,
thanks, this did it for me! Just throtteling port 5223 to the max speed which my ISP provides to me!
Great!

Apr 30, 2013 5:45 AM in response to tvlabergeby Apple Trees,I would like to add that whoever suggested that it was a problem with the ISP was exactly right. I turned on the mobile hotspot on my iPhone and now they are uploading with no problems.
I was able to "trick" my computer (or maybe my ISP) into thinking that it's using cellular data. I turned on Wifi on my iPhone while it's tethering to the computer and now it's technically using my ISP's Wifi to upload the tracks. Didn't have to download any programs.

May 17, 2013 7:02 AM in response to Phil Marinucci1by wimdmr,Entonnoir doesn't seem to work as expected on my system (10.8.3 on MacBook5,1 Samsung SSD512Gb 4Gb RAM)
I solved the iTunes Match looping issue by limiting upstream with
Apple's Network Link Conditioner,
which installs as a prefPane and works very accurately.
Available at Apple's Hardware IO Tools for Xcode 4.4 - Late July 2012

Jun 6, 2013 12:48 PM in response to wimdmrby AlexFromMountainView,I just installed the Network Link Conditioner prefPane, duplicated the "CableModem" profile (for further tweaking), and turned the conditioner on. Striking difference: rather than uploading at most 1-2 songs and then restarting, it now keeps going much longer each time. Of course, the upload is also slower, seeing as I am throttling uploads to ~125 kB/sec, but it's definitely more robust -- something (Apple or Comcast, who knows) definitely did not like high upload rates.
I'll let it run for a while before I post an update.

Jun 6, 2013 2:38 PM in response to AlexFromMountainViewby AlexFromMountainView,Update: I played with different configurations in the Network Link Controller, and got rather satisfactory results by starting with the "CableModem" profile as a starting point, and then playing with the "Uplink" parameters.
The parameter that, for me and my ISP (Comcast), seems to have had the most impact was dropped packets --- by forcing my computer to drop 1% of outgoing packets (but dropping the 1mbps limit by setting it to "100" instead), I still got a decent transfer rate, but got rid of all the interruptions and restarts. So far, it's uploaded well over 100 songs without any restarts (of the iTues matching process).
Other experiments, like just limiting the transfer rate to 1mbps, or adding extra packet latency of up to 50 ms each way, only made smaller differences, still resulting in a restart every 5 songs or so.
This could still be Apple's fault of course, but it sure looks like ISPs are trying to detect iTunes Match streaming, and block or throttle it. Maybe the dropped packets make such streams harder to detect. If I were Apple, I'd be rather annoyed at the ISPs (if the analysis in thie thread is correct), because the ISP's policies are making Apple look really bad. Sigh.

Jun 10, 2013 10:01 PM in response to Phil Marinucci1by Joel Craig,Thanks for the great info Phil. I too have been stuck in the iTunes Match 'loop of death' for the past week. Like my house, my church is also on Comcast, but I was able to successfully upload some songs on that connection on Sunday, so either the fact that it's a business account, or my distance from the router allowed the successful upload. That led me to believe it was either my Time Capsule (which is in Bridge mode) or something completely stupid, which of course led me here...
