Jan 12, 2013 11:22 AM in response to kbphoto615by hmt90a,I have the same issue. On my new computer (Windows 7 64 bit), my phone shows up in Device Manager under Portable Devices. It is also listed in My Computer as a Portable Device. It is not listed in AutoPlay at all so I can't have Picasa automatically open when I connect my phone. It's an inconvenience, but I can work around it.
On my old computer (Windows Vista), my phone showed up in Device Manager under Portable Devices, in My Computer as a Portable Device and in AutoPlay as a Device. I chose to have it import my pictures using Picasa.

Mar 17, 2013 10:18 AM in response to kbphoto615by aming02,★HelpfulYou need to reinstall the driver.
- Click Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Devices and Printers --> Device Manager
- In Portable Devices, double click Apple iPhone. Click Driver tab. Click Uninstall.
- Plug-in iPhone to the computer. It will automatically detect the new device and reinstall the software.
It works for me.

Mar 17, 2013 3:41 PM in response to aming02by hmt90a,Thanks for the suggestion, but after reinstalling the driver, my phone is still not listed in AutoPlay. It is listed as a Portable Device in My Computer.
I have tried plugging my phone into another Windows 7 PC and AutoPlay popped up, so I know it's possible in Windows 7. It just isn't working with my home computer.

Mar 18, 2013 6:26 PM in response to hmt90aby aming02,I think that your issues are Windows 7 not iPhone. You should Google solutions such as this link.

Apr 7, 2013 9:51 AM in response to kbphoto615by francesco252,I am experiencing exactly the same issue and still cannot figure out why it's behaving like this. It suddenly started not to open AutoPlay upon plugging-in my iPhone... Microsoft AutoPlay Repair, unfortunately, does not help even on Win 32... I'm sure it depends on some messed-up settings in Win 7 and not on my iPhone itself, as AutoPlay works perfectly on another Win 7 machine.

Jun 14, 2013 3:52 PM in response to kbphoto615by lucky seven,I also had this problem. I tried everything, starting from changing autoplay settings to uninstall apple iphone driver in device manger. Nothing worked. Then I started un-installing every programme I have installed since the problem begun. Able to get back the autoplay settings after removing a great deal of programs. I don't konw which one it was but I hope this helps.

Jul 9, 2013 11:22 AM in response to cheerpiestarletby hmt90a,My device is working properly. I've tried uninstalling the drivers and the device many times. Nothing works. iTunes will start when I plug in my phone (as it should), but AutoPlay does not. I'm starting to think the advice 'lucky seven' gave is the only thing that might possibly work.

Nov 20, 2013 11:46 AM in response to kbphoto615by EJMaffei,I am going to presume you are trying to access the photos and/or videos you've taken with your device. In this case, you don't need Autoplay.
After your iPxx device is connected to your PC, simply click on the Computer Desktop icon. Your device should appear in the "Portable Device" list. Double-click it, then drill down thru the folders until you reach your photos and videos. You can now view, copy, and paste them just like any other file in Windows.
