Q: repeatedly plays same chapter of audio book

Cannot find an answer by searching. I add an audio book to iTunes, everything plays in order and one chapter after another without problems.

I then transfer to iPod and have to manually select each chapter,  otherwise it keeps playing the same one repeatedly, it never used to do this just started recently, have tried other audio books that used to play ok but they are now doing the same thing, have reset settings etc but no difference. Any suggestions please.

iPod nano, Windows 7, Using iTunes 11.

Is this an iPod nano with a click wheel (older), or with a touch screen?  There is a setting called Repeat.

On the older nanos with a click wheel, it is on the iPod's Settings screen.  Make sure it is not set to One.

On the 6th or 7th gen nano, I believe there is a button on the Now Playing screen.  Tap it to change the Repeat setting.
